Incredibile India!! Volo di andata: Roma->Istanbul->Delhi

Ciao Soffici Amici,

proviamo a raccontarvi un po' del nostro viaggio per farvi innamorare, dell"Incredibile India"!!

Tutto inzia il 10 Gennaio 2012 dall'Aeroporto di Roma "Leonardo da Vinci", partenze internazionali, con il volo delle 10 am con la Turkish Airlines, scalo ad Istanbul e poi il volo per Delhi.

we try to tell you a little bit of our journey to make you fall in love, of the "Incredible India"!

Everything starts the 10th of January 2012 from the Airport of Rome "Leonardo da Vinci", international departures, with the flight of the 10 am with Turkish Airlines, stop over in Istanbul and then the flight to Delhi. 

Partecipanti: Auhauh, Maurizio ed Io!! =)

Dopo aver lasciato il bagaglio da imbarcare (che avremmo ripreso a Delhi =) nella strada che ci portava al ceck-in del bagaglio a mano, abbiamo capito che sarebbe stato un viaggio pieno di persone interessanti da conoscere! Infatti abbiamo conosciuto (H)Anna ed il suo Husky, dall'America! =)

After leaving the checked baggage (which we would retrieved to Delhi =) in the street leading to the check-in baggage, we realized it would be a journey full of interesting people to know! Indeed, we have known (H) Anna and her Husky, from USA! =)

Una volta dentro.. un trenino predisposto, ci ha portati nella parte dei gates per gli imbarchi!

Once inside.. a prearranged train, brought us in the boarding gates!

Aspettando l'orario di imbarco, ci siamo fatti un giretto..Aerei da vedere e amici-cuscini da salutare!! =) 

Waiting for the boarding time, we took a stroll.. Planes to see and pillows-friends to greet!! =)

Ci siamo.. abbiamo preso posto sull'aereo, in attesa di partire!

Here we are .. We have taken our place on the plane, waiting to go!

Ci gonfiamo il cuscinetto per allietare le quasi 3 ore di volo e..

We blow up the little air-pillow to gladden nearly 3 hours of flight and..

Abbiamo scoperto di amare la Turkish Airlines.. Ottimo cibo servito a bordo!! =) 

We discovered to love the Turkish Airlines .. Great food served on board! =)

Arrivati ad Istanbul, abbiamo aspettato circa 4 ore il volo per Delhi, facendoci un giretto e facendo merenda da Caffe' Nero.

Arrived in Istanbul, we waited about 4 hours the flight to Delhi, making a stroll and, making snack from Caffe' Nero.

Ed infine.. Boing grandissimo (8 posti per fila e 2 corridoi) per arrivare in 5 ore all'Aeroporto di Delhi!! =)

And finally .. Huge Boing (8 seats per row and 2 corridors) to arrive in Delhi Airport in 5 hours!! =)

premessa.. scriviamo da Palolem (Goa, India) e non sempre riusciamo a connetterci! =)
Oggi, accedendo a FB, sul nostro muro, abbiamo trovato una piacevole sorpresa!!
Una foto del  fratellino di Auhauh che vive dalla nostra amica Eleonora a Bagni di Lucca!!
Auhauh è davvero entusiasta e spera che prima o poi riescano ad incrociare le loro proboscidi.. siamo in attesa di conoscere il nome del nuovo membro della nostra famiglia elefantosa/umana!! =)

Auhauh is so excited and hopes that sooner or later, they meet their trunks.. We are waiting to know the name of the new member of our elephant/human family! =)

Cuddly calendar 2012: Donation to Onlus Association Peter Pan

Ciao Soffici amici,
oggi vi raccontiamo di un'altra parte bella del progetto coccoloso del "Cuddly Calendar 2012".

Come detto nel precedente post, il 24 Dicembre a sera non avevamo più una copia da vendere!! Abbiamo aspettato il 27 mattina per depositare nella banca i soldini raccolti e poi abbiamo provveduto a fare il bonifico.
Aspettando i tempi tecnici del trasferimento all'Associazione Onlus Peter Pan, il 28 Dicembre, ci trovavamo a Roma e siamo andati a conoscere personalmente i volontari che fanno si che questo meraviglioso progetto possa andare avanti. Quel giorno abbiamo conosciuto la dolce Roberta.
Sicuri dell'esito positivo, il 4 Gennaio 2012 siamo tornati alla "Grande Casa di Peter Pan" per prendere la "Lettera di Ringraziamento" e il "cuoricino" che regalano a chi fa loro una donazione.. e ci hanno dato tantissime altre belle cose tra cui 1 bellissimo libro fatto da un volontario, Pino Rampolla; racconta tramite meravigliose foto  la quotidianità nella casa dei nostri piccoli amici, che devono affrontare i trattamenti antitumorali, e delle loro famiglie! =) Abbiamo rincontrato Roberta e conosciuto Monica, colei che si occupa delle donazioni ed ha risposto sempre gentilmente alle mie email e ai miei numerosi dubbi!! =)
Molto felici ed emozionati siamo andati via, col cuore pieno di soddisfazione per aver messo, grazie a VOI, una goccia nel loro oceano di buone azioni quotidiane!!

PS. Siamo ancora adesso molto emozionati ricordando questa esperienza!! =)

Hi Fluffy Friends,
today, we tell you of another beautiful part of the project "Cuddly Calendar 2012".

As mentioned in the previous post, the evening of the 24 of December,we haven't one copy to sell! We waited the morning 27 to deposit  in the bank  the collected pennies and then we proceeded to make a transfer bank. Waiting the technical time of the the transfer bank to the Onlus Association Peter Pan, the 28 of December, we were in Rome and we went to personally know the volunteers that make in order that this wonderful project can move forward. That day we met the sweet Roberta.
Sure of the succeed, the 4 of January 2012 we returned to the "Great House of Peter Pan" to get the "Letter of Thanksgiving" and the "little heart" that they give to those who make a donation.. and they gave us a lots of nice things including a beautiful book made by a volunteer, Pino Rampolla; tells through wonderful pictures, the daily life inside the house of the our little friends, who must deal with the cancer treatments, and their families! =) We met again Roberta, and we met for the first time, Monica, who is in charge of donations and she always politely responded to my emails and to my many questions! =)
Very happy and excited, we are gone away, with a heart full of satisfaction for having put​​, thanks to YOU​​, a drop in their ocean of daily good deeds!

Cuddly Calendar 2012: Pagination, prints and sell

Ciao Soffici Amici, ripartiamo col racconto..

IMPAGINAZIONE e STAMPA: dalla fine del Concorso Fotografico siamo stati 2 giorni a preparare quello che potete ammirare da cartaceo (tra i 200 fortunati che sono riusciti ad accaparrarselo x) oppure da schermo.

Tanto lavoro, molta stanchezza ma alla fine il 2 Dicembre alle 9 di mattina consegnamo il PDF alla tipografia per il controllo del file.. TUTTO DA RIFARE!! =(
Vogliono qualità più alta e file CMYK invece di RGB!! =(
Nonostante lo sconforto, Io, Maurizio ed Auhauh, ci rimbocchiamo mani  o zampotte per rifare tutto come da richiesta.. finalmente, alle 5 del pomeriggio, il file è di nuovo pronto per la verifica.. lo inviamo.. e neanche mezz'ora dopo il responso.. VA BENE! E' IN CODA PER LA STAMPA!! =)

Tempo il 12 Dicembre pomeriggio, il corriere ci recapita un pacco!! Finalmente!! =)
Apriamo il pacco e i 200 calendari sono lì in bella vista.. e bellissimi!!

Non immaginate che paura avevamo ad aprire.. e se non ci fossero piaciuti? Per fortuna non lo sapremo mai!! Erano semplicemente perfetti!!

Tempo di uscire, incontriamo un'amica. Una parola tira l'altra, parliamo del calendario, della beneficenza, lo vede e se ne innamora!! Questa è la storia del primo calendario venduto!!

Ogni calendario ha un suo percorso ma basti pensare che "purtroppo" molti li abbiamo venduti "perchè conosciamo tante persone", gli altri, con il metodo "porta a porta", prendendoci tanti complimenti per l'iniziativa, tantissimi NO cortesi e, tantissimi altri NO meno cortesi!! =(

Ma il fine giustifica tutto!! Stanchi ma contenti, il 24 Dicembre in serata, non ci era rimasta neanche una copia!!
Per noi è stato il più bel regalo di Natale che potessimo augurarci di avere!!

Il 27 abbiamo fatto la donazione.. ma questo è un altro post!! =)

Hi Cuddly Friends, let's start with the story ..

IMPAGINATION and PRINT: from the end of the Photo Contest, we took 2 days to prepare what you see, only 200 have the paper copy, or from screen. 
Lots of work, very tiredness but the 2th of Demeber, at 9 am, we sent the PDF to the print shop to control the file.. Back in Training! =(
They want higher quality and file in CMYK instead of RGB!! =(  Despite the discouragement, Maurizio, Auhauh and I,  we roll up our hands or paws to redo it all as requested.. finally, at 5 pm, the file is again ready for testing .. we send it .. and neither half an hour after the verdict.. IT'S OKAY! IT'S IN QUEUE FOR PRINTING! =)


When it's the 12 of December afternoon, the courier delivers a package to us! Finally! =) 
We open the package and the 200 calendars are there in plain view .. and beautiful! 

You don't imagine that fear we had to open.. and if there weren't liked? Thankfully we'll never know! They were just perfect! 
 
Time to go out, we meeting a friend. A word leads to another, we speak of the calendar, charity, sees him and falls in love! This is the story of the first calendar sold!!

Each calendar has its own path, many have been sold to friends, many sold "door to door", taking us so many compliments for the initiative, many NO courteous, and many other less polite NO! = ( 

But the end justifies everything! Tired but happy, the 24 of December evening, there weren't  more copies to sell! 
For us it was the best Christmas present we could hope to have! 

The 27 of December we made ​​the donation .. but that's another post! =)
